I’ve been a little bit busy preparing for uni lately, but of course I still had to make some time to catch up on this week’s anime! I managed to watch Akikan, Munto, Sorakake Shoujo and Koukaku no Regios today. I watched so much! This only considered alot lately because I’ve been busy, but it’s nothing compared to the amount I used to watch back when I was young (a few years ago). I used to devour whole series in a day or two!

I’m pretty happy with Akikan this week. I didn’t see any more animation fail, but then again alot of the times I don’t really see it even when it’s there. I just get a strange feeling that something isn’t right but can’t actually put my finger on it (with the exception of Gurren Lagann 4 of course XD). This week we get more lame jokes and another addition to Daichi’s harem. More bishoujos is always a good thing! (at least when they’re drawn properly).

I checked out the first episode of Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai, which is a TV version of an OVA called Munto. I’ll probably just call it Munto even though it sounds a bit strange, because the other name is way too long to type everytime. The show seems like a very generic chosen person saving the world from disaster, with a fantasy/parallel world kind of setting. The story didn’t interest me much but I’ll watch it because it’s by KyoAni – the god of animation studios! I don’t think too much of the character designs, but the art reminds me of AIR and the animation is nicely done. I quite like the OP song too – アネモイ (Anemoi) by Eufonius. I’ve liked their songs ever since they did Clannad’s OP and ED, and I’m pleased with KyoAni’s choice to keep using their songs. I thought the ED song was a bit disappointing, because I liked Ceui’s songs from Sola but this just wasn’t great.

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo still doesn’t really appeal to me but the girls are fighting in some kind of mecha (does that qualify them as mecha musume?) which is a plus and the story is moving along reasonably ok. There wasn’t much Fukuyama Jun this week I guess I’ll keep watching it just to kill time. I don’t like the bean-head aliens much though.

Watched Koukaku no Regios as well, but wasn’t really paying attention to it. All I got out of it was that the main character has l33t sk1llz that he’s been hiding for nearly two whole episodes!
