Kweh!

I’ve been pretty bored lately so I thought I would play Final Fantasy Fable: Chocobo’s Dungeon (lol at reference 14 on the wiki page about why chocobo is adorable) on the Wii. The picture is from Chocobo Tales (DS), not Dungeon (Wii), but I already played Chocobo Tales on my DS and it was pretty fun, although there were some slightly annoying minigames. Chocobo’s Dungeon is pretty good as well though it can get a bit repetitive sometimes. I’m also pretty surprised at the depth of the plot, because I really wasn’t expecting any kind of plot at all! Would have some screenshots but I don’t really want to take pictures of my TV.

I’ve always like Final Fantasy games because they were the first RPG series I ever started playing. My first FF was FF9 and I’ve played everything since then, except FF11 because it was online and I never bought the hard drive thing for my PS2. I played half of FF8 as well but had to stop because one of the discs was scratched I think. Quite saddening. I would have to say my favourite is still FF9, probably because it’s my first FF but FF10 was just as good. The only reason it’s  not my favourite is probably because I spent way too long dodging lightning and racing chocobos to get the ultimate weapons, which annoyed me to some extent.

Chocobos have always been one of my favourite characters (are they considered characters) in Final Fantasy games because they’re cute and you can ride them and they go really fast! Much better than moogles with their annoying habit of saying “kupo” at the end of every sentence and trying to sell you items. It’s a pity chocobos never made it into Kingdom Hearts but moogles did…

I’ve also wanted try out Dissidia:Final Fantasy but unfortunately I don’t have a PSP. Want to play FF13 too but don’t have a PS3 either. Might buy the game and borrow a PS3 from a friend or brother-in-law or something of the sort =D. Hopefully I’ll be able to play Dissida when I borrow my friend’s PSP too… if he lets me. Was thinking of getting Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for my DS and getting him to get Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep then swapping consoles when we finish! Neither Kingdom Hearts game has an english release date yet (and I’m too lazy to read the whole game in jap like i did with KH2, which I replayed again in english) and FF13 is supposed to be released in 2010 so I guess there’s not too much point thinking about it for now.I might as well just hibernate till they come out but then I would miss Suzumiya Haruhi’s second season (supposedly airing this year, though I already read the novels on baka-tsuki, it’s just not the same)…
