I did say I was going to start a weekly thing about illustrators, so here’s the first one, featuring Suzuhira Hiro. Suzuhira Hiro is one of, if not my most, favourite artist. I’ll download a scan of her artbooks even if it’s 100MB! At the moment I seem to have 226 scans of hers, totalling 947MB.

Here’s a quick intro on Suzuhira Hiro copypastaed from Wikipedia, because even though I love her art and can spot it from a mile away, I don’t know much else about her.

Hiro Suzuhira (鈴平ひろ, Suzuhira Hiro?) (b. January 17, 1978) is a female Japanese mangaka, character designer and illustrator.

Hiro Suzuhira and Aoi Nishimata have known each other from high school; their first work, Ritual, was introduced in 1996. In 2000, she joined BasiL and became the illustrator for Bless: Close Your Eyes, Open Your Mind. After Bless was released, she quit from BasiL and became a freelance illustrator. During this period in 2001, she illustrated one of the characters for Welcome to Pia Carrot 3. In 2003, she joined Navel along with Aoi Nishimata, illustrating Shuffle! before moving on to Soul Link and Tick! Tack!.

On February 23, 2007, she quit Navel due to health issues and again became a free illustrator.

Baka-updates says she also made some random doujinshi, a manga called R.G.B and also Marriage Royale. She also did some illustrations for eroge Yosuga no Sora. Still haven’t played it yet – near the end of my 150 eroge backlog, but the art is absolutely gorgeous. Found someone that blogged about their Yosuga no Sora box XD  Also here is here Japanese Wikipedia article and Official Website (both in japanese of course). Stellar Theatre - oh wait you can probably read that yourself

Currently she seems to working for a company called Rosebleu, doing illustrations for an eroge called Stellar Theatre which will be release sometime this year. Even if the game is complete crap and has no storyline, it’s still going to be a must get for me! Of course apart from doing eroge art, she has done quite a few artbooks as well, but I don’t know what they are because I just collect scans. You might have spotted one or two Suzuhira Hiro scans in my header too!

All the scans I get are from konachan and moe imouto. I try to link all the pics I post back to there but I don’t bother in the really big galleries. If you really like a pic and want to get the high-res version then you can find it on konachan or moe imouto easily because I don’t change the filenames of my pictures.

If the filename is something like moe-37571-suzuhira_hiro then that means the image came from moe imouto. You just need to type moe.imouto.org/post/show/37571  in the navigation bar. Don’t worry about the suzuhira_hiro bit coz that’s just the tag. If the filename is like konachancom-37037-suzuhira_hiro.jpg then it’s the same except instead of moe imouto it’s at konachan so just type konachan.com/post/show/37037. I hope that’s not too confusing…
