I’ve been having to put off anime for a while because of stupid assignments, but mid semester break is only one week away! I managed to finish Clannad After Story and Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (hopefully that’s the last time I ever have to type that ever again =_=) and I think I wrote something about them in my KyoAni rant post. Now I’ve managed to finish off Gundam 00 and Maria+Holic too! I’ve finished watching half of the series that I picked up last seasons, which is why I’m halfway to the finish line. Now I only have to finish off the last episode of Akikan! and about 5 episodes of Sorakake Shoujo and another 2 episodes of Rideback =_= I’ll write up the afterthought posts after I’ve watched those (obviously) and for now I’ll just tell you how weak I thought the Gundam and Maria+Holic endings were – THEY WERE TOOOOOOO WEAK especially Maria+Holic. In fact Maria+Holic didn’t even have an ending =_=

Maria+Holic was nice like usual, except this week there was bikinis, even it was just a dream ending >=D Dreams endings are always weak, but I guess they become amusing if even the characters in the anime complain about them. Father Kanae is an interesting character mainly because I try to read all the words that come off the top of his head, and I fail miserably. If you didn’t already know, whatever he says turns into words that appear off the top of his head. Could be good for learning kanji, if all the things he said weren’t so random and complex…
The “hi hi” hives were amusing too, as was the fundoshi-loving hypnosis and the whole pool and earth and universe and galaxy turning red XD We even got to see Matsurika and Shizu in sukumizu tpp <33 That was all very nice but it sill didn’t stop me from feeling let down when there was no proper ending. That also leaves me hopeful though, because Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei didn’t have a proper ending and now there’s rumours that there will be a 3rd season of Zetsubou Sensei! Maria+Holic better have another season or two otherwise i’ll despair too!
Gundam 00’s ending wasn’t actually weak. I was just surprised at how Allelujah became a backpacker at the end. I didn’t really like Ribbons’ Reborn Gundam with the uber powered cannons on one side and melee weapons on the otherside? It would have been better if they made that fight a bit longer though coz people only watch Gundam for the mecha. If they bring out uber powered mechas, then destroy them in one episode we don’t get to admire it and say wow that’s so cool. And that sucks.
I still thinks Setsuna looks pretty gar when he turns into innovator mode and his eyes go into spiral power mode. I have to admit that Lock-on’s sidestep was very good, th0ugh the yaoi suggestions were not so good. I laffed when I saw the comments on other blogs that said stuff like – I can understand why Ribbons is making that face XD I was a little disappointed how they kind of ripped the final fight off Gurren Lagann. While Gurren Lagann had Space King Kittan > King Kittan = win, G00ndam had 00 > Exia and Reborn > 0, which I probably would have thought was a bit more win if I had not seen Gurren Lagann before. On that note anyone know when the Gurren Lagann movie DVD will comes out?? I want to watch the movie now! While G00ndam’s ending wasn’t actually bad I hear there will also be a movie! There was a little bit at the end of the episode that had a picture of Jupiter and 4 little shining lights which might be mobile suits?! and said: The Childhood of Humankind Ends. I think I agree with the rumours about there being aliens in the movie XD After all Celestial Being was made to turn everyone into innovators so they can understand each other, then understand aliens? I’m sure aliens were mentioned somewhere in the show!
I still need to get around to watching the last episode of Akikan so I’m not going to write anything about the second-last episode but I’ll just put the pictures here. Don’t want to waste all the effort I put into taking screenshots XD
