The 2009 spring anime season has begun! I started this season with K-ON! and it definitely lives up the the hype it’s been getting. There wasn’t too much happening in the first episode and Yui does remind me of Nagisa/Ushio (because of the KyoAni drawing style probably) but that doesn’t matter because MIO IS PURE WIN <33 Oh and thanks Coalguys for subbing it. lol you really are too coal!!
The teacher in K-ON! has the same seiyu as Tsunetsuki Matoi from Zetsubou Sensei. It sounds like she’s using the same voice. I thought the teacher was going to start stalking Mio or something XD Apparently Kanako from Maria+Holic has the same seiyu but I couldn’t tell…
Although the title says this post is about K-ON! it’s actually more of a Mio rant. Well actually it would be if there were more scans of her up, but the anime is still pretty new. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER LOOK IN THE ED THOUGH <3 Well because I don’t have enough pictures of Mio to spam everywhere yet this is actually a KyoAni rant post – because I love KyoAni! But not as much as I love Mio </3
I was rather disappointed with Clannad After Story after episode 22. I know I did write up a post after watching that episode saying that that was the end of the show, and I was right to do so! Episode 23 was some random things that nobody really cared about except watching Nagisa get hit on the head with a washtub XD Episode 24 was a recap episode, which was a real letdown… I was kind of hoping for something funny like Clannad episode 23 where there was suggestions of yaoi and strange dreams about starfish but a recap was just unexpected – especially from KyoAni!
I did get a bit teary when I saw this bit again though T__T
The only good thing was that the recap had the storage room scene with Kyou and also the scene with Tomoyo wearing glasses >=D There was one other good thing I guess, which was that they kind of tried to explain the “happy end” where Nagisa didn’t die. I was really confused after episode 22 so I looked it up on wikipedia and of course wikipedia has the answer to all questions in the world =D
I finished watching Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai too! I was a bit surprised when it ended at episode 9, because animes are usually 12 or 24 or 52 episodes. 9 episodes is obviously too short because when it ended I thought they were going to start a new arc =_=
I was surprised that Yumemi suddenly became uber powered and just destroyed all the enemies while healing all allies… And then at the end they magically change into sailor fuku? The ending was rather open ended too. Yumemi basically went to the other world, dragged her friends there, regenerated the orbital elevator (well it does transport energy) then teleported home? It wasn’t bad but it was just a bit too fast for my liking. I do quite like this screen from the ED though…
For now I have to say I’m not that all happy with the way KyoAni finishes things, but the new anime is definitely good! But then even when the endings are done properly I’ll still be sad that a KyoAni anime has finished… Still lose either way XD
