The 2009 spring anime season has begun! I started this season with K-ON! and it definitely lives up the the hype it’s been getting. There wasn’t too much happening in the first episode and Yui does remind me of Nagisa/Ushio (because of the KyoAni drawing style probably) but that doesn’t matter because MIO IS PURE WIN <33 Oh and thanks Coalguys for subbing it. lol you really are too coal!!
While all good things do come to an end, apparently To Aru Majutsu no Index isn’t ending yet. The “ending” was really open ended and in fact just opened up more questions about this Aleister Crowley guy who is a body that floats upside down in a giant test tube… There’s probably going to be a second season of it. Actually I’m still waiting for the second season of Mushi-Uta as well… Oh and I read somewhere that To Aru Kagakusha no Choujidenbou (A certain scientist’s railgun), which is kind of a side manga which focuses on Misaka Mikoto will be made into an anime too! I don’t really like the level-upper arc at the moment but I’m sure it will get better.

I only just realised that this anime season is coming to a close, and once again we get another one of these awesome pictures telling us what will be appearing next season. I don’t know who makes them and I forgot where I found it but thanks anywaiz ^^
Shows I will definitely be watching are Full Metal Alchemist, K-On! and Hayate no Gotoku!! I’ll probably just skip throught FMA, like I do with Katekyo Hitman Reborn! because I read the manga, but the colourful version is still rather exciting. K-On! gets on my must-watch list once again just because it’s done by KyoAni and Hayate no Gotoku!! is there just because it’s great. I’ve already seen the Hayate no Gotoku!! OVA and the art is different from last season… Seems like someone decided to change the animators and though it doesn’t look bad, it’s just not the same T__T
Strangely enough another two episodes of Haruhi-chan came out again this week. I really don’t get the release schedule of Haruhi-chan and Churuya-san, because they both started in the same week yet Churuya-san is on episode 3 while Haruhi-chan is on episode 6? Not make much sense to me… Here are the links:

Episode 5 was about playing dodgeball while betting on a mummified kappa, which was actually 30% chicken bone, 40% monkey bone and 30% turtle bone lol. The supersonic ball was “impossibly” cool XD
It’s been sooooo long since I’ve last seen Zetsubou Sensei, so it was nice, and rather nostalgic actually, to see it again. Although SHAFT does a good job with Maria+Holic every week, and even though it has yuri, it’s still not quite as good as Zetsubou Sensei – it lacks the insanity. Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a 3 episode OVA that came out after Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I don’t think episode 3 is out yet.
It seems this was the Valentines Day episode so Zetsubou Sensei gets a very normal chocolate from Nami and a very perfectly-heart-shaped valentines chocolate from Chiri XD And then for some reason or other they talk about otakus, because they are elites that will never fall for the gigantic trap that is Valentines Day, because of their complete lack of interest in 3D. lol Shana > pantsu
Today I am finally finished posting about last week’s anime! But now a new episode of Akikan has come out for me to watch… Well I better get on with it or this will never end. Umm this post is about Maria+Holic and Sorakake Shoujo I think. Both episode 7 apparently.
Maria+Holic had more of the usual good stuff. The zetsubou face was rather nostalgic, though I was a bit disappointed that Kanako didn’t shout out ZETSUBOU SHITA! Because last week’s episode said “To be continued”, I really thought that this whole episode was going to be about hunting down the stolen black lingerie, kind of like those two episode Detective Conan cases, but they resolved the case of the stolen black lingerie within the first few minutes. Well I guess they kind of resolved the issue, before Kanako ran off with the lingerie again XD
I actually left my house again to go to uni today, so I am once again feeling unprecedented levels of tiredness. Three month holidays just sitting at home really turned me into a marshmallow (or any other soft squishy object of your choice).

Oh and Hyper Burst Mode is cool, as are shield bits. The shield bits are basically defensive fangs that can fire big beams when 4 of them go together. I like! Hyper Burst Mode needs no explanation except the caption on the picture XD
AND LOL THE GUY SINGING THE OP SOUNDED SO BAD. Stereopony got killed by this guy. At first I thought the show actually aired in Japan with this guy’s singing but later I found out that it was actually a guy from the gss fansub team. For a guy on a fansub team I thought it was pretty good, but I don’t think Sunrise would air that version of the OP XD

I’ll probably be posting less from now on because uni will be starting and I won’t be sitting at home doing nothing like I have been for the last three months. I’ll still keep churning out the Illustrator Intros and Weekly Vocaloid rankings (on Sundays and Wednesdays respectively), though they could be a little late once in a while. I also missed out yesterday’s post because I was rather tired after my anime marathon – watched Clannad, Gundam, Sora Kake Shoujo, Munto, Maria+Holic, ToraDora, Kurogane no Linebarrel, Kemono no Souja Erin, To Aru Majutsu no Index and Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Still have to watch 3 Kara no Kyoukai movies too…

ZOMG MOELICIOUS
I only managed to watch Seto no Hanayome Jin’s (it’s the OVA) 2nd episode in the last couple of days and it really makes me feel like watching Seto no Hanayome all over again! Seto no Hanayome was a great anime and if I remember correctly, it aired at the same time as Tengen Toppa and Hayate no Gotoku, making that the best season of anime evar. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to rewatch Seto no Hanayome, but maybe I will one day when I’m old and I look through my hard drive and find a picture of a nekomimi mermaid drinking milk. Sorry I couldn’t find the link for the moelicious picture above, because I downloaded it before moe imouto and konachan put tags in the filenames. Back then the filenames were all gibberish. Mawari was my favourite character when she first appeared, but now I have to say I like Masa-san better than her lol. My favourite girl of the show is tied between San, Akeno and the iincho girl that becomes super hot when she takes off her glasses – she would probably be my favourite if she got more airtime. She reminds me very much of Ichigo 100% though – THE BEST ROMANCHIKKU ECCHI MANGA EVAR. Though to-love-ru is good, Ichigo 100% is on a totally different level.
Slowking are regular Slowpoke who suffered a peculiar event. The King’s Rock they rarely hold attracts Shellder, and gets bitten on its head instead of its tail. The poison that some Shellder secretes reached Slowpoke’s brain, turning it extremely intelligent.
