Once again I’ve managed to disappear off into the universe and forget about my blog for a long time. But I return bringing something that you probably can’t find anywhere else on the interwebz! Tis livetune’s new album though it is actually not new. It was released on 16/8 apparently at C76 though there’s no info about it livetune’s site but on some other random site instead.

Everybody knows ryo/supercell and kz/livetune! And I don’t know of Dr. ARM or KTG but I do know of Albatrosicks and Aliced Twilightz so it seems that livetune managed to pull together some pretty big names for this album. It’s pretty good and had to download a flac from some obscure torrent and convert it into mp3 myself. Share it around if you like it!! Can’t find another mp3 of it anywhere except winny apparently!

I’m pretty sure most people should know what Project Diva I’ll just write one sentence for the noobs: It’s a new music/rhythm game for PSP featuring Miku <3 that’s supposed to be released next week (in 4 days to be exact!).

It seems that because of stupid assignments and going out drinking and similar things I have once again neglected to post up the weekly does of Vocaloid music – for a whole 7 weeks in fact! Alot of the songs seem to be the same, with lots of the old Miku songs still surviving since forever, but in 7 weeks there would definitely have been some good songs that have come and gone. I’m going to keep this post fairly short and only post the songs that I really like. I’m going to be writing about the 15 or so new animes I have watched right after this and that is obviously going to take a while. Hope I don’t end up sleeping at 3am again..

#27 is 桜舞う　今 (Sakura Mau Ima/Sakura Dance Now) by Miku. It shocks me how good songs can drop so much, becaues last week it was #2! It’s a good song though.

#6 is Be Myself by Meiko. The video looks like an Idolmaster PV and was done in MikuMiku Dance apparently. Though the PV is really cute, the song is still good! I downloaded the PV and just have it playing on my desktop while I’m doing things XD

#4 is If by Luka. It sounds like a rock song but it’s good. Well actually all the songs I’m posting are good otherwise they wouldn’t be here…

#3 is Haruichi by Deco*27 which is also very good! I think I remember mentiong Deco*27 in one of the previous weekly ranking posts.

#2 is 右肩の蝶 by Rin. This is good stuff too. Actually I’m just saying they are all good coz I listened to the vocaloid ranking about 6 hours ago and can’t remember which song is which. I copied down the names of the good songs though which is why I can write up the post of course XD

#1 is Romeo and Cinderella by Miku. I don’t like the song that much but alot of Vocaloid songs are so much better when you understand the lyrics! My japanese isn’t that great (wouldn’t be able to understand a whole episode of anime without  subtitles, maybe only about 70-80%) and Vocaloids are sometimes rather hard to understand – I liked the song much better after I watched the subbed version on youtube XD

I like all the songs posted here pretty equally except for #1 lol. Today I also discovered the 方向音痛 and Double Lariat were done by the same person -アゴアニキP. I only realised after I noticed that the videos of both had rather strange-looking versions of Luka and Miku but the songs are top notch! アゴアニキP added to my list of favourite Vocaloid artists! (the list in my brain, that is)

This is the latest Hatsune Miku album released by livetune on the 25th of March I think. It’s called Re:Mikus, which is their album after Re:packaged, which is my favourite album along with the Hatsune Miku 1st Song Album! kevinayP also kindly pointed out that Re:Mikus comes from the word リミックス/Remix. I didn’t realise that! >_<

I don’t have any favourite songs because unlike most albums that have good songs and bad songs, every song on this album is good! They are all my favourite songs from the older albums, but remixed!!  I hope this helped you if you were looking for the album for a little while like me!

Sorry for the lack of any updates on the blog these last few weeks. I never knew uni took up so much time… if I did I would have done business (3 days/week!!) instead of science. 5 day weeks suck! I’ll at least try to write up the Illustrator Intro though I’m not sure if I I’ll have time for much else…

Oh and for some odd reason I also managed to pass JLPT level 2 with my measly japanese knowledge – with a score of 69% XD  The passing mark is 60% so I feel that I haven’t done too bad considering I didn’t understand most of what was on the test. But just because I didn’t understand it doesn’t mean I don’t get a shiny certificate saying that I passed!!!  Yay for multiple choice questions and guessing answers!!!!

Yes I know this is a bit late, but I got it out today like I said I would – because I have absolutely no intention of seppuku-ing myself. Not much to say about this week’s one. Most of the songs were the same as last week, with a few new ones. Oh and I forgot to tell you all this while – I love that turning on the DS sound that’s at the beginning of every Weekly Vocaloid Ranking! I wish the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking came on every time I turned on my DS  XD

I think I’ll just use the same format for my Weekly Vocaloid Ranking posts every week to make things easy for myself. So here’s the songs I thought were good:

#20 Pastel Liner sung by Miku, made by Shake Sphere. There isn’t anything really special about this song, I just thought it sounded nice.

#15 Pusse Cafe sung by Miku, made by Clean Tears. This song is nice, has a catchy beat too. Clean Tears has also done a few other good songs if I remember correctly.

#12 Eternal sung by Miku. It’s pretty nice. This week I seem to just say everything is nice. Was #52 last week.

#10 Tako Luka★Maguro Fever sung by Luka (obviously). It’s a parody of Luka Luka★Night Fever, but I like this version better. I think it’s a bit slow though, but I’m sure there will be a remixed version coming out sooner or later. And the thing in the background that said Takoloid02 made me lol. And the PV is suuuper cute!! Thanks kazearashi for uploading it! In fact kazearashi uploads alot of Miku stuff onto youtube from niconico.

#8 Asayake, kimi no uta sung by Miku. New this week. Quite nice also.

#6 最後の女王 sung by Luka. Means “The Last Queen”. New this week! I quite like Luka’s voice these kind of songs. Sounds like a better version of Ali Project XD

For the lulz:

#7 双子があの歌を知ったようです。よ。  Basically it means, it seems that the twins know that song. Rin doing the yokkorase dance and everyone forgetting Kaito’s name is lulz

I was pretty surprised that pretty much all of last week’s top songs went down alot – 火葬曲 went from #4 to #17, ggrks from #3 to #16, RIP=RELEASE from #5 to #13, いろは唄 from #2 to #9, while 炉心融解 was the only odd one out going up to #5 from #7.

Top 3:

#3 闇色アリス – Darkness Coloured Alice. The PV looks cool but I don’t think the song is that great.

#2 Double Lariat sung by Luka. It’s been #1 for the last two week’s and it’s still great! Should stay in the top 3 for longer I think!

#1 Toeto sung by Luka and made by Torabura P. I saw this song posted on DannyChoo last week but I didn’t really think much of it back then. Saw it again but I really like it this time! Strange how that happens sometimes. It’s very cute too!

Alot of the songs I embed are all linked by Kazearashi so many thinks to him!  It was nice to see Black Rock Shooter, Miku Miku ni Shiteageru and World is Mine back in the top 30 again. They’ve pretty much become classics by now. Also, I remember I used to like Miku songs made by 涼風涼雨 -Methuselah- and Haruna808. I don’t think they’ve churned out any vocaloid songs though lately T__T

Next week I’ll try to cut down the number of songs that I post videos for otherwise the post is way too long. You probably don’t want to watch that many videos anyway. 5 videos on one post is about the max that I will watch, so I really shouldn’t spam you with so many. I’m still a noob to blogging so please try to be patient with me! But personally I do love to spam pictures and videos everywhere XD

Saw this over at Kyouran Kyoudai and realised that this is just another one of those must share videos.This was the winner of the 2nd MMD Cup, called ゲキド･オブ･ハツネ (Gekido of Hatsune, where gekido means rage XD). For those of you who don’t know what MMD is, it stand’s for MikuMikuDance, which is the name of a program used to make videos of Miku (and other Vocaloids too) dancing. It’s one of those stick figure, frame by frame programs. That’s probably a terrible description and I’ve only used the program once (and I fail at it), so just go to Kyouran Kyoudai and check out their post. They have the top 5 videos of the MMD cup including that one of Yowane Haku not wearing her top!!

On a completely different topic, I saw these beautiful figures of Rei and Asuka on Sankaku. This is the first time I’ve seen a picture of some figures and really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really (9 reallies if I counted correctly) wanted them, excluding Kagamikus, Black Rock Shooters or any other type of Miku incarnation. I so want them… but a person like me with an income of $0 per annum isn’t allowed to want something expensive like this…

They’re selling for 6480 yen each, which would have been about $65 quite a while back (maybe a year or two ago), but now the exchange rate is terible. Would be about $105 now T_____T

This week’s top 30 were very good! There wasn’t quite as much Luka this week compared to last week though, probably because everyone realises Miku is better by now >=D

I was pretty surprised Miku Miku ni Shiteageru (my very first Vocaloid song I think) still managed to make it back onto the weekly rankings at #28, because it’s just so old. It even came up in the history part of this week’s ranking – was #3 at this time last year! Oh and Melt came back onto the rankings at #19. Not bad..

#27 [初音ミク] 恋距離遠愛 [オリジナル曲] (Renkyo Rien Ai I think?) by DECO*27. I like Deco*27’s songs so I’ll try and watch out for more of them. #18 あなたの歌姫／初音ミク　Complete ver. I absolutely loved this song ever since it came out on Miku’s first song album! This “complete” version just seems to have some extra instruments playing in the background but it’s still good. Found a version with lyrics on the side. The lyrics are so nice..

#9 【VOCALOIDオリジナル曲】 鏡音レンの憂鬱  – The Melancholy of Kagemine Ren. lol @ the PV and lyrics  new.  Especially the disgusting crossdressing gakupo. Couldn’t find a subbed version unfortunately.

#7 【鏡音リン】炉心融解【オリジナル】  Was #5 last week but still good.

#6  巡音ルカ「ルカルカ★ナイトフィーバー」【オリジナル曲】 – Luka Luka ★ Night Fever! Has pretty random lyrics and sounds a bit like Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru at first.

#3 【巡音ルカと神威がくぽ】ggrks-ググれカス-【オリジナル曲】 by hakusai (lol hakusai means chinese cabbage in japanese). ググれカス apparently means “google it” but I’ve never heard that one before. But the song says to “google ” things on Yahoo?! The english at the beginning and end of the song sounds rather strange, just like all engrish, but apart from that it’s a pretty good song and the lyrics are funny too. It’s a bit like World is Mine but instead of KaitoxMiku its GakupoxLuka. While I don’t particularly like tsundere Miku, Luka is a very good choice of tsundere <33  The pic of Luka stabbing Gakupo’s hand with a spork  is great too XD

#1 Double Lariat sung by Luka!! It was #1 last week and I’m glad it’s still the top. I love this song <333 so I’ll repost the video, but with subtitles this week. The subs aren’t great but they’re understandable at least. The lyrics are so nice too…

After not watching Weekly Vocaloid Rankings for at least 3 months now, I’m glad I manged to find them again! I thought the niconico people just stopped making them or something like that, but somehow I managed to find them today! The video above is “Double Lariat” by Megurine Luka. It was ranked first in this week’s Weekly Vocaloid Ranking obviously because it’s a great song! And the video is amusing if you pause it, if you’re watching the niconico version. I would post niconico versions but lots of japanese sites are lagging for me today so I can’t be bothered. Oh and here’s the weekly ranking link:

I wish I could embed niconico videos too but they don’t let you unless you’re as big as Sankaku Complex or Danny Choo T__T

After Double Lariat, in second place was RIP=RELEASE by Luka. Also a very good song.

Third place was Nebula, by Miku. Can’t say that I really like the song, but the PV is cool!

The songs that I liked in this week’s ranking seemed to be the songs with all the gibberish words – 【初音ミク】ぽっぴっぽー【本店だよ！】 (Po Pi Po) and 【初音ミク】 バンバンブー☆ 【オリジナル】修正版 (Ban Ban Bu). The “Japanese Ninja No. 1″ song didn’t sound great but it was funny.

I also heard 【巡音ルカ】巡姫舞踊曲【オリジナル曲】 (Meguru Hime Butou Kyoku) for the first time. It’s pretty good too.

Bit of a strange looking cover... But then again the single is called Ghost

I don’t usually like J-rock. Most of it’s too hardcore for me, but Gackt is good. Gackt’s latest single “Ghost” was released at the end of last month. Both of the songs, “Ghost” and “Blue Lagoon” are good I thinks. Even though I’m not into rock that much (can’t take screamo), I love songs with massive bass! I think one of the reasons why I like Gackt is the video below XD

Gackt acts like he’s trying to be some kind of creepy guy but his Magnum is amazing! I don’t think I would be able to do that! Download the single here. Btw I don’t upload these myself. I just find them on google.

When Gackpoid came out I was thoroughly amused. Gackpoid is pretty good, some songs sounds pretty close to the real thing, but somehow the songs make me luagh. Got a Vocaloid song here too, though its not a Gackpoid song – Sakasama Rainbow sung by Rin and Miku. I like it!
