The 2009 spring anime season has begun! I started this season with K-ON! and it definitely lives up the the hype it’s been getting. There wasn’t too much happening in the first episode and Yui does remind me of Nagisa/Ushio (because of the KyoAni drawing style probably) but that doesn’t matter because MIO IS PURE WIN <33 Oh and thanks Coalguys for subbing it. lol you really are too coal!!

I’ll probably be posting less from now on because uni will be starting and I won’t be sitting at home doing nothing like I have been for the last three months. I’ll still keep churning out the Illustrator Intros and Weekly Vocaloid rankings (on Sundays and Wednesdays respectively), though they could be a little late once in a while. I also missed out yesterday’s post because I was rather tired after my anime marathon – watched Clannad, Gundam, Sora Kake Shoujo, Munto, Maria+Holic, ToraDora, Kurogane no Linebarrel, Kemono no Souja Erin, To Aru Majutsu no Index and Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Still have to watch 3 Kara no Kyoukai movies too…
I don’t really feel like writing up individual posts for that many episodes and I’m too tired to write something intelligible so I’ll just imagedump. Kore douzo:
There wasn’t too much interesting stuff this week so I’ll just lump all the screenshots of Munto, Koukaku no Regios and Sora wo kakeru Shoujo into one post and leave it at that. Because I’m lazy.
Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (damn the long name) 4 was pretty good. It seems a years (I think it was a year, can’t remember too well) have passed since the last episode and Yumemi has become very much cuter <3. Munto still has his Vegeta eyebrows too XD
The fighting scenes are actually pretty good, which I was not expecting. At first I thought Munto was uberly overpowered because he pwnt alot of enemies by himself. He started getting beat up in the second half of the ep though, so he wasn’t actually LV99 in a LV15 area, which would have put me off. Oh and Gass is GAR. Cheating is not cool unless it’s an RPG. Punching people till your arm falls off is definitely GAR. And in the preview we had the L WORD again?! Japanese people love the L word too much. But don’t worry, it’s not something to be ashamed of! – is the message that the people at KyoAni are telling us.
I thought I was watching G00ndam!
At the beginning of this episode of Munto, I was confused. Hasn’t the orbital elevator already been destroyed?! Took me a little while to realise it’s not G00ndam.
The episode interest me too much. Actually, this episode felt like the last episode of the show! It probably didn’t interest me because I guess most animes spend quite a few episodes building things up to a climax before resolving everything in the last episode, but this show felt like it just started then suddenly ended! Of course the show hasn’t actually ended. It seems that Munto was actually a 3 episode OVA, which is why at the end of the episode 3 it seemed like it ended. Just means that what we’ll be seeing from now on will be new stuff, instead of just watching recycled material.

Seems like I mostly just took screenshots of just Yumemi – the most interesting thing about this show. The loli Yumemi is quite cute! Everytime I hear the word Yumemi I think of Planetarian again though T__T

I’ve been a little bit busy preparing for uni lately, but of course I still had to make some time to catch up on this week’s anime! I managed to watch Akikan, Munto, Sorakake Shoujo and Koukaku no Regios today. I watched so much! This only considered alot lately because I’ve been busy, but it’s nothing compared to the amount I used to watch back when I was young (a few years ago). I used to devour whole series in a day or two!
